1899: General Wheaton's Provincial Brigade sets out from San Pedro Makati at 6:30 a.m., beginning the extension of American lines eastward to the shores of Laguna de Bay. Frank (Francis) Wheaton was a career military officer in the United States Army during the American Civil War and Indian Wars.
